Really early when we went and there was just me and the wife, time was about 5:30pm, that aside there are some fab beers and lPA’s on offer, the cinema seats upstairs need raising up a few inches as when your sat in them your literally struggling to have your shoulders level with the table. Great place though and extremely similar to the Twisted Lip in Middlesbrough, one small gripe when we were there was the speaker quality upstairs are poor to say the least and really should offer better sound and also the selection of songs which were mostly Brit pop 90’s offerings which is fine but a playlist a little more mixed would be better. Overall though a good visit.

A wonderful little bar with a huge selection of canned and bottled beers. Two ales on hand pump and others on tap. Comfy seating upstairs

First visit last night. Love the vibe. Staff are fabulous and very accommodating and friendly. Cherry beer was delicious. Can’t wait to come back.

Fantastic range of craft beer in the fridge with a good selection on tap, both cask and keg. An absolute must if you’re in the area.

Great little bar with superb range of quality indie beer, Deya, Verdant, Cloudwater etc. Nice vibe and good music

Fantastic craft beer bar with extensive range of bottles and cans in the wall of beer fridges but also a great rotating range of draft beers ( always a lager IPAs a sour and a dark beer or two). Plus now some belgian beers and a good choice of natural wines and great snacks!

Stocks Abrahalls real cider, albeit at £5.40/pt, which is pricey compared with Whitby pubs.
I liked their warm pork scratchings.
Plays muzac, but could be worse.
Offers pizza & pint for £10 16:00 – 20:00 Tues, Weds & Thurs so I’ll be back to try that out.
Good to find real cider in Guisborough Market Place again, but not comparable with the much-missed Tap & Spile.

Cracking pub with excellent beer and possibly the best beer snack selection in the universe

What a cracking little micropub. Fabulous selection of beers and great value snacks. Lovely welcoming atmosphere. Can’t ask more from a pub.

Really warm, friendly and welcoming bar that immediately made us feel like we were regulars. Was quiet when we first arrived and the young lady serving was really helpful in our ordering and chatted to us while we drank. Later several regulars came in and again each was really friendly and we managed a really good conversation with one.

The place immediately felt like a home from home and it is definitely somewhere we will be more than happy to travel to again.

Excellent selection of ales both on draft and in an extensive fridge. Also the chilli nuts were very tasty and grandma’s cake was absolutely to die for. Wish we lived close and this could absolutely be a regular visit
